• Echo Trail
One of the most enticing aspects of americana and folk music is how it’s recorded. Hearing playful banter and the occasional vocal tremor is deeply humanizing. Echo Trail will show how they capture true authenticity behind a performance this September as a trio consisting of Jenny DeSantis(vocals), Glenn Witherell(bass), and Ron Bruder (guitar). “I’m inspired by anything folk, americana, or blues,” said Ron. “Neil Young, Tom Petty, Ryan Adams, Todd Snider, Lucinda Williams, Bob Dylan....” The list goes on. Come down to hear the band play their favorite cover of “Don’t Cry No Tears” by Neil Young.

Acoustic show!
• Out of System Transfer [outofsystemtransfer.com] [facebook.com/OutOfSystemTransfer]
Carrying the banner of righteous weirdness, here comes Out of System Transfer, the city’s much-needed gonzo anti-folk punk rock radical leftist hootenanny. Their funny and fierce tunes blend the rage of Reagan-era punks like Dead Kennedys and Mojo Nixon with the rootsy feel and harmonies of acts like the Carter Family and Pete Seeger. With unparalleled energy, uncompromising radical politics, and an insatiable thirst for fun, these four anarchofolk weirdos share one primary main objective: to rock your entire ass off.
• Wayfairy [facebook.com/wayfairy]
Wayfairy started with a banjo on the turnpike and has grown into a six piece music project that fills the sonic space between mournful folk and riotous punk. Originally the brainchild of multi-instrumentalist Quiver Watts, the project has grown into a collective project that blends accordion, banjo, violin , washboard and upright bass with soft vocal harmonies, punctuated by raw wails. Wayfairy’s lyrics are decidedly queer/feminist, anti-state, anti-fascist and through our music we hope to contribute to a growing movement for liberation.
• Red Tailed [redtailed.bandcamp.com]
Good morning, Quiver! From sentimental beginnings that create a dark Anti-Folk feel with a upbeat playful punk twist, Red Tailed is not your typical Americana band. Hailing from the East Bay, this small collective of kids-at-heart present a macabre blend of the soft and somber melodies of folk with some prominent undertones of fun energetic Punk Rock that you can dance to.
